The Life of Riley: Back From the Cold

I was at Hallmark the other day and said I was going back outside so my glasses would clear. One of the girls told me one of their customers had told her that if you back in from the cold, into the warmth, your glasses won’t fog up. Always good things at Hallmark!

When I got to my computer I asked the internet about backing in from the cold, I found. “If you wear glasses and walk in to a warm building from the cold your glasses fog up. If you walk in backwards they don’t.“

I tried it at my house, and at different businesses and found it did work. But, I continued to experiment and discovered that if  I’d just back in and stand, out of the way, and let the warmer air circulate, my glasses didn’t fog up, but, be patient, it takes a few seconds of standing with your back to the inside of the store. If it doesn’t work, you probably need to wait longer.

Maybe something to do with the warmer inside air slowly warming up from the inside of the glasses out to the cold side of the lens.

I usually wear sunglasses over my eye glasses and by waiting long enough, my glasses are fog free.

I know some people look at me like I didn’t know what I was doing, but I’m used to that. Yes, what a revoltin’ development this is!
