Today’s square dancing does not involve frilly petticoats, cowboy shirts and old fashioned music.  Dancers wear what they like and dance to everything from the Beatles to modern country to pop favorites.  It’s not even dancing.  It’s just walking to music.  The team is made up of couples and singles — no partner required. Comedy Improv with Graffiti on the Fourth Wall

Come to “Rhapsodic in a Hue of Blue,” Covered Bridge Productions presents Graffiti on the Fourth Wall Comedy Improv Troupe. G4W, now in its 22nd year, is a professional improv company with more than 800 performances under its belt. Comedic actors will perform satirical improvisations and sketches as well as humorous parodies and other material. Children will learn about animals and the outdoors through music, movement and motion. They will craft a musical instrument each week and learn how to keep a beat. Oak Park author Patrick F. Cannon discusses the architecture, architect and place in history of Chicago’s finest buildings in his talk, The Space Within: Inside Great Chicago Buildings. He will take the audience “inside” several design masterpieces through stunning original photographs by James Caulfield.
