Suspect in the murder of special needs individual turns himself in

A Chicago man has been charged with murder in connection with the 2015 death of a special needs individual.

DeAndre D. Jones, 29, was charged with first-degree murder in connection with the incident. He turned himself in to Dolton police on Friday.

Jones, who also goes by Andre Jones, De Andre Jones and Deandre Devon Jones, had been sought for the Nov. 10, 2015 beating of an individual with special needs in Dolton.

A convicted felon, Jones allegedly beat the individual with a firearm. The victim later died as a result of his injuries.

The Circuit Court of Cook County in Markham issued an arrest warrant for Jones on July 10, charging him with first-degree murder.
