Socks and Blocks

Register children age 8 months through 8 years to attend BLOCK Fest – a hands-on play experience hosted by NIU’s Center for P-20 Engagement. BLOCK Fest is an interactive family event with five block play stations introducing young children and their parents to the educational value of blocks. Parents discover how they can help their children learn early math and science concepts while they play with blocks through guided play and conversation during this research-based program. During this year’s ice cream social, children are invited to make their own ice cream sundae just like the Ellwoods, one of DeKalb’s early wealthy and prominent families, and their staff did 100 years ago. Ellwood Explorers is a series of youth educational programs.

Advance TinkerCad: Design a Fidget Spinner

Want to be part of the latest craze sweeping the nation? Make your own Fidget Spinner. Expanding on the skills learned in the Introduction to TinkerCad class, participants will insert correctly sized holes for the bearings, convert 2D text to 3D, and customize a spinner. Attendees must take Introduction to TinkerCad before taking this class. Seating is limited. Enrollment begins15 minutes before the event starts. Intended for ages 8 and up.
Pokémon League

Harmonessence Acapella Chorus Rehearsal
