Celebrating the season

Waterman’s Honey Hill Orchard got its start as a  hobby in 1965. Today the family-owned and operated orchard is a popular destination for pick-your-own apples, raspberries and, of course, pumpkins. Honey Hill hosted its Pumpkin Harvest Weekend earlier this month at the location, open daily  from 9:30 a.m.-5 p.m. and located in southern DeKalb County on Waterman Road, north of town and west of Illinois Route 23. Photos by Jon Langham / for Chronicle Media
