Battle of the Bands

Local student musicians, The Aviators, James Plainfield & the Plain White Fields will be playing along with soloist Amanda Bargrover, The Ethan Mosley Band and Brian Beer on the Chapman stick will also perform. Someone will be going on to play at the 2018 Sandwich Fair. This is an all-ages show.

The Naturally Genoa Farmer’s Market is a community hub—a place to meet up with friends, bring children, or just get a taste of small-town life. The market supports local farmers while providing fresh and homegrown items to the community. Buying from local farmers supports local agriculture. USCCA Concealed Carry and Home Defense Course

This 16-hour course meets the Illinois State Police requirements for the Illinois Concealed Carry Permit. Upon completion of the course, students will receive a certificate, which is required when applying for an Illinois Concealed Carry Permit. The Beatles: A History

Presenter Gary Wenstrup will take the audience on a tour of the band’s development in Liverpool, through Beatlemania, into their psychedelic phase and eventual dissolution. No registration required.

“The Taming of the Shrew”

Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton star in this 1967 film adaptation of William Shakespeare’s “The Taming of the Shrew.” A father is attempting to marry off his two daughters; however, he will marry off his youngest, Bianca, only if someone will marry his eldest, Katharina, a strong-willed woman. This movie showing is anticipation of the live theater event. Stone Soup Shakespeare presents The Taming of the Shrew at Huntley Park on 2nd and Garden at 6 p.m. June 1.
