The work of students of Robert Davis, adjunct professor at Kishwaukee College, is on display at the Art Box. The exhibit – “Kishwaukee College Student Print” – exhibit includes intaglio etchings, aquatints and mezzotints; and photography, both traditional silver gelatin and digital.

“The Addams Family”

When a man (Christopher Lloyd) claiming to be Fester, the missing brother of Gomez Addams (Raul Julia), arrives at the Addams’ home, the family is thrilled. However, Morticia (Anjelica Huston) begins to suspect the man is a fraud, and the intrigue begins. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.

Kishwaukee YMCA’s Annual Halloween Event 

4:30-8 p.m. 

NIU Convocation Center, 1525 W. Lincoln Hwy., DeKalb 

$4 in advance; $6 at the door; children 2 and younger, free 

The Kishwaukee Family YMCA invites families to an evening of fun and games at its annual Family Halloween Event. Children and parents are encouraged to wear their costumes and play together. The event will include multiple bounce houses, games/activities/prizes, a magician and Halloween-themed arts and crafts. One dollar from each admission ticket purchased will be donated to the YMCA Cancer Survivor Program.

Symphony Orchestra Halloween Concerts 

5:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

The Kishwaukee Symphony Orchestra will present its annual free concerts with a theme appropriate for children and adults. Trick-or-treating will be held for the children a half an hour before the 5:30 concert begins.

Howl-O-Ween Costume Party

Katz Dog Park, 201 W. Dresser Road, DeKalb 

Free 

Dog owners are invited to bring their costumed dogs to the dog park for a chance to win prizes. No registration required. The five categories for the costume contest are Most “Spook-tacular,” “Howling” with laughter, Presidential Pooches, Most “Fly” Superhero and Best Owner/Pet Costume Combo.
