Items accepted include objects that plug into a wall socket or has a battery (phones, cameras, refrigerators, computers, VCRs, lamps, etc.); cardboard, plastic, scrap metal, tube TVs/CRT monitors, flat-screen monitors (only one TV/monitor per vehicle per month). Sponsor of the collection is New Life Electronics Recycling, Inc. Due to changes in the electronics recycling industry statewide, New Life Electronics Recycling is no longer accepting cathode ray tube televisions (older tube televisions). Questions? The Barefoot Hawaiian, a Polynesian performing troupe, will bring the South Pacific to DeKalb for Asian-Pacific Heritage Month. The group’s performance includes the world famous hula dance and audience participation. Dancers will explain customs and folklore of the Polynesian islands. Questions? Radioactive Zombie Run

Radioactive Zombies have infiltrated the Sandwich Fair Grounds and it is your mission to find your way through obstacles and glowing brain eaters as quickly as possible. This 5K fun run will challenge your speed, agility and courage. As darkness falls, you will need to muster your strength and strategy to figure out which mazes will help you come out alive. Dress to get down and dirty. Stay after your race and bring friends to participate in the radioactive glow party where your first beer is free. Must be 21 to drink and show valid I.D. If you want to participate as a zombie, registration is only $15 and following your volunteering as a zombie for half an hour you are free to participate as a runner. Those under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
