“Communication: Our Rewired Minds”

College of DuPage Food Truck Rally and Sunset 5K

The College of DuPage’s annual Food Truck Rally & Sunset 5K is presented by DuPage Medical Group. The event will feature a lineup of more than 15 food trucks, a USATF certified Sunset 5K Run and a Kid Zone. All proceeds will benefit COD student scholarships. Each high school district served by College of DuPage will have a dedicated scholarship for their graduates who attend COD. Visitors can experience life in the 1840s during Stacy’s Tavern Museum’s Tavern Day Celebration. Included will be agriculture activities like apple peeling and vegetable gardening; household chores like roping a bed, doing laundry 1840s style, chances to actually saw wood, shuck corn and braid rope to use for chores. Historic Bike Tour of Wheaton

Bicyclists can join the Wheaton Bicycle Committee and the City of Wheaton Historic Commission for a tour of the historic site markers of Wheaton. This moderately-paced, 7.3-mile bike tour will provide a way to experience local historic and cultural resources. A docent will explain the significance of various historic points of interest. All riders must provide their own bicycle, and wear a bike helmet and bring signed waivers. Riders under 18 need waivers and adult supervision. DuPage Camera Club Competition

On the fourth Monday of the month, camera club members can submit color prints, black-and-white prints and digital image files for competition.
