Jazz in the Park

The Glen Ellyn Jazz Ensemble, a 16-member group, will play a mix of popular big band tunes. Bring a blanket, lawn chairs and picnic dinner. In case of inclement weather, the concert will be canceled. No alcoholic beverages are allowed.

July 26

Cosley Zoo Uncorked

$40, $75 per couple

A Musical Look at Ethnic Illinois
7 p.m.
95th Street Library, 301 S. Cedar Glade Road, Naperville

Members of Jutta & the Hi-Dukes will give a musical lecture about the prairie of Illinois’ history giving audience members a bird’s eye view of culture in the state. Experience some of the traditional music immigrants brought with them from Greece, Ireland, Sweden, Bulgaria and other countries.

Wheaton Municipal Band Concert

This concert is called “Something for Everyone.” Slow, fast, high, low, old, new, borrowed, blue — a concert with variety that can appeal to everyone.

Saturday Night is Cruising Night

Lombard Cruise Night

The theme for the car show will be ‘80s and newer. Heartache Tonight, an Eagles tribute band, will perform. Activities in the Kids’ Corner will be provided from 6-9 p.m. by the Helen Plum Library.

French Market

The French Market offers a selection of services, vegetables, fruits, crafts, bakery, meat and other items for sale to the general public.

Architecture Walking Tour

A walking tour will explore modern architecture in Elmhurst including the Henderson House by Frank Lloyd Wright and McCormick House by Mies van der Rohe. 

July 30

Music Monday in the Park

The band, The StingRays, will perform rock ’n’ roll from the 1950s, ’60s and ’70s. Concessions will be sold.

July 31

Nature Play Date
11 a.m.-noon
The Morton Arboretum, 4100 Illinois Route 53, Lisle
$5 per child plus arboretum admission

Join in a play date among the trees. Participants can hop on the Acorn Express Tram and head to one of the arboretum’s nature play spaces. There, families will play, explore and discover nature with other families. For more information, call 630-968-0074.
