Final push for ACA enrollment in DuPage

The pace of insurance enrollment in the Affordable Care Act (ACA) is picking up as the March 31 deadline approaches and the DuPage County Health Department is urging residents who still need to enroll in a healthcare plan to do so.

On March 31, the marketplace will be closed and the open enrollment period will end. Anyone who does not have healthcare coverage at that point will be subject to a fee when they go to file their taxes next year.

Residents, who qualify, will still be able to enroll in Medicaid, which does not have an enrollment deadline.

In an effort to serve and assist as many residents as possible during this final enrollment push, Enroll DuPage, a one-stop source for information regarding the Affordable Care Act (ACA), has many services and opportunities that residents can take advantage of in these final days of open enrollment.

Residents with questions or needing assistance in signing up for healthcare can contact Enroll DuPage by calling 888-724-0077 to schedule an  appointment with one of their specially trained navigators and get any questions answered as well as receive help navigating the online marketplace.

Residents can also visit enrolldupage.org/events, to find locations and times around the county where navigators will be assisting walk-ins.

The final opportunity for enrollment is on Monday, March 31 at the  DuPage County Health Department, 111 N County Farm Rd. Wheaton, IL from 8am-8pm (last walk-in will be taken at 6:30pm)
