Fox Valley Older Adult Services receives donation

Fox Valley Older Adult Services is very grateful to be the 2016 recipient of the annual Kendall County Senior Providers (KCSP) donation of $500. KCSP is dedicated to educate, interact and support inter-generational opportunities within the Senior Community. Members are from government funded agencies, non-profit organizations and businesses.

This donation will enhance the quality of life for the many seniors who attend

FVOAS’ Adult Day Service by providing IPods and simple games. The minds, bodies and spirits of our Adult Day Service clients are brought to life and enriched by the influence of music and game playing. There are tested results that programs that incorporate music and game playing, have been very successful when used with dementia and Alzheimer’s clients.

The Oswego Senior Center has multiple opportunities for volunteerism, for all ages, individuals and groups throughout the year. If you are interested in volunteering, please call Ruth Mattson for a volunteer application and interview, (630) 554-5602 or email volunteer@oswegoseniorcenter.org. The donation also will allow the Home Services Department to purchase gloves and gate belts for use by their aides in serving seniors in Kendall County.

FVOAS, through its Senior Center, Home Services and Adult Day Service, offers activities and services to Seniors in Kendall County along with Kane, DeKalb, LaSalle and Bureau counties.
