Dog Day Afternoon

Come sit with a certified therapy dog and practice reading aloud. Bring a book along or we can provide books for you. When you sign up you’ll register for a 15-minute time slot. For independent students in grades K-8 only. Registration is required and can be done in person or by calling (630) 552-2025.

Knit and Crochet Group

This informal group works on their own projects, discusses types and colors of yarns, and helps each other with new or tricky patterns. Participants bring their own supplies.  They invite you to stop by and “yarn” awhile.  No registration required.

Easter Make & Take Activity

Get ready for Easter by making a special paper bonnet and creating other decorations. You will also have the opportunity to visit the museum’s temporary ‘Easter Bonnets on Parade’ display. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Pre-registration is recommended, but walk-ins are welcome. Age: 3 and up.
