Oswego Fireworks

Bring your blankets and lawn chairs and celebrate America’s birthday with a firework display with your friends and family. Parking available at Prairie Point Park, Oswego High School, the Village of Oswego Public Works Facility. Rain date is July 5.

Yorkville Fourth of July Celebration

Festivities start at 9 a.m. July 4 with a parade starting at Yorkville High School; Fireworks will begin at dusk from the corner of Route 47 and Countryside Parkway. Parade begins at 9 a.m. Activities including children’s foot races, rides, water fights and a performance by the Yorkville Community Band begins at noon. Yorkville Big Band performance starts at 8 p.m. and fireworks go off at dusk.

All the favorites and some new events, too. Candy bar bingo, water balloon games, draw on the deck contest, and patriotic trivia. The Coral Reef Grill will be cooking up some backyard favorites.

Itty Bitty Beach Party

Family Camp Out

This fun camping adventure at Blackberry Farm begins on Saturday with a scavenger hunt, activities, a campfire and s’mores. Sunday includes a light breakfast. Families provide their own tents and sleeping bags. Each person attending the camp out needs to register at www.foxvalleyparkdistrict.org.

Cyndee Schaffer Presents: ‘Mollie’s War’
