The meeting reportedly was organized by Oswego Village President Gail Johnson, and included former State Rep. Tom Cross (R-Oswego) and Kendall County Board Chairman John Shaw. Sheriff’s office deputies to carry anti-narcotic

A published report stated that Kendall County Sheriff’s Office deputies recently received training in order to administer Intranasal Naloxodone — commonly known as Narcan — to help reverse the effects of opioids (including heroin, methadone and oxycodone). Training was held at the Kendall County Public Safety Center, 1102 Cornell Lane., Yorkville. All deputies received the training, and will be carrying Narcan while on duty. Deputies can administer Narcan to people suffering life-threatening symptoms related to use of opioids, prior to the arrival of medical personnel. The Kendall County Sheriff’s Office reportedly will be the first law enforcement agency in Kendall County to incorporate the use of Narcan.
