Pat Ryan at Historic Metamora Square

METAMORA – Enjoying the bright sunlight on a breezy day, Pat Ryan has been taking care of the Metamora Square park for the Village for 9 years. She says, “I love it. It gets me out of the house.” Behind her is the new Abrahham Lincoln – Melissa Goings statue erected last August by the Woodford County Historical Society with funds donated by individuals and businesses..
Pat worked for Hallmark as a purchasing clerk for 25 years. Previously, she served on the Park District board for 10 years and supervised young people who kept the park in shape. When she retired from Hallmark, she accepted the post of park custodian and has enjoyed the work for the past 9 years.
