Lombard’s annual month-long festival of all things lilacs comes to a close this weekend with heritage tours, wine tasting and a Sunday parade through town.

But there’s no immediate end to enjoying the delicate flowering plants, especially at the 8.5 acre downtown Lilacia Park which features 700 lilac varieties from around the world plus an estimated 25,000 tulips.
