Dept. of Health offers pair of flu shot clinics

The McHenry County Department of Health (MCDH) announced that it is offering two flu shot clinics for county residents. The second clinic will be held from 7:30-10 a.m. at the McHenry County Government Center Administration Building, 667 Ware Road, Woodstock. The cost is $35 per vaccine. Payment by cash, check, Medicaid and Medicare Part B will be accepted. To participate, residents can rake leaves into piles on the parkway, between the roadway and the sidewalk. Leaves must be placed within four feet of the roadway edge or curbing. In addition, cars should not be parked on the roadway during collections, as Waste Management requires clear access to the curb line or roadside to properly collect the leaves.
