Forum Candidates for the Peoria City Council in the April 7 municipal election have been invited to participate in a forum, sponsored by the League of Women Voters of Greater Peoria and Peoria Public Radio WCBU 89.9 on the FM dial. It takes place at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday March 7 at The Peoria Public Library’s North Branch at 3001 W. Grand Parkway, Peoria. Doors open at 9:30a.m. The candidates are Beth Akeson, Katherine Coyle, Beth Jensen, Ryan Spain, Eric Turner and Chuck Weaver. The event is free, and the public is invited to attend. The event will be broadcast by Peoria Public Radio, 89.9 on the FM dial and streamed online at PeoriaPublicRadio.org. It also will be recorded on video and shown at 6 p.m. on March 13 on Comcast cable channel 22. It may also be available on YouTube.
