EUREKA – Adding up all the fund-raising activities carried out by students of Eureka High School and Unit 140, Hope Week netted over $37,000 for St. Jude Children’s Hospital. The top fund-raising effort in years past was $26,000. Hope Week is a week-long fundraiser that takes place in Eureka schools and consists of fun activities every day. The program was started by Eureka High School Student Council Advisor, Stephanie Brown. Hope Week was created to help Dax Locke’s family reach their goal of raising $1.8 million dollars, the daily operating cost of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.  Photo by Stephanie Drane Brown.
