Eureka College Seeks Homecoming Parade Entries for October 5

EUREKA – Community entries are being sought to participate in the Eureka College homecoming parade scheduled for 10 AM on Saturday, Oct. 5.

“It would be a great addition to have more community participation in the college homecoming parade this year,” said homecoming chairwoman Sarah Hall, a junior from Peoria. “We invite businesses, school groups, churches, community groups and others to join us for this time of celebration.”

To participate, contact Hall at shall@eureka.edu or Dean of Students Brooke Campbell at bcampbell@eureka.edu or (309) 467-6420.

The homecoming theme is “EC TV: Your Life in Prime Time.” As it now stands, the parade will begin at Eureka High School and move east on Cruger Street to Callender Street. It will jog north on Callender to Eureka Street and continue east, crossing Route 117. At Darst Street, the parade will proceed south to College Avenue, turn east and culminate at North Burgess Street.
