Eureka Library Offering “Technology Tuesdays”

EUREKA – Eureka Public Library is offering “Technology Tuesdays”, an hour long class on Tuesday mornings during May to provide help with ereaders, iPads and tablet devices. The class will begin at 10 a.m. each week.

“We try to help with questions whenever we have staff available”, offers EPLD Director Nancy Scott. “But our library staff is often busy when people just “drop in” to ask questions. Providing a dedicated time to help with issues concerning ereaders gives us the opportunity to answer questions that many users have in common, maximizing our time and our patron’s time.”
Eureka Public Library is part of a consortium, Alliance Digital Media Library (ADML) that provides ebooks and audiobooks to library patrons. EPLD card holders need a valid library account and PIN to be able to access up to 2 books at a time. Books can be loaded onto a variety of devices and are then available for up to 21 days, for reading or listening.
“Technology Tuesdays” will continue through the summer at Eureka Public Library, with additional times added in June and July.
