Ozobot Theater

In this theater, robots are the actors. Youth entering fifth—seventh grades are invited to join University of Illinois Extension 4-H Youth Development Educator Alcha Corban for a fun, interactive workshop on Monday, June 10 from 2 to 3:30 p.m. at the Eureka Public Library, 202 S. Main.

Participants will learn script writing, costume design, and basic programming in this exciting workshop. At the end, the ozobots will perform for the group. This class is free, but space is limited to 15 participants. Call the library at 309-467-2922 to register by June 7. Make and Take Cards Night

Join instructor Debbi Smith for a fun night of paper crafting at the Eureka Public Library, 202 S. Main, at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, June 10. Participants will make two to three different types of cards and take their creations home at the end of the evening. Class fee is $2. Register by calling the library at 309-467-2922.

Rules of the Road Course

The Illinois Secretary of State’s Office will be presenting a free review of the Rules of the Road course for anyone preparing to apply for or renew their license. The class will be held at the Eureka Public Library, 202 S. Main, at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, June 14. Call the library at 309-467-2922 for more information and to register.

iPhone and Android Smartphone Basics

Want to really learn and be confident on how to use your iPhone or android smartphone? Join Nancy Komlanc at the Eureka Public Library, 202 S. Main, for introductory workshops on both types of devices. The android smartphone workshop will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, June 13; and the iPhone workshop will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, June 13.

Topics covered include learning how to organize the home screen to make it less confusing, increasing font size for texting, saving money by using the wi-fi, setting up speed dialing, checking voice mail, sending a text, adding photos, the importance of keeping your phone charged and sanitized, and more.

This workshop is geared towards people over 50, and participants will receive step-by-step instructions to take home. Workshop fee is $20. Bring your iPhone or android smartphone to the workshop to make these phone adjustments. Space is limited; contact the library at 309-467-2922 to register.

Teen Popcorn and Movie Night

Teens are invited to join the Eureka Public Library, 202 S. Main, for a fun summer evening watching the science-fiction comedy movie, Men In Black, at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday, June 13.
