Volunteers Invited to Participate in “4-H for Grown Ups”

URBANA – Whether you have been a 4-H volunteer for many years or are thinking about becoming a volunteer, you are invited to participate in 4-H for Grown Ups Volunteer Training on February 22 at Heartland Community Church in Normal. 

The day will kick off at 9:00 AM with opening remarks from Dr. Denise Oberle, State 4-H Program Leader. Volunteers will then have a choice of workshops to attend including: Cloverbuds, Organizational Tips for Leaders, Youth Gardening, Marketing and Communications for Clubs, Opportunities Beyond the County Borders, and Robotics Basics. The day will conclude at 2:30 PM.

Lunch will be served, and all volunteers in attendance will receive a token of appreciation. In addition, there will be a drawing for three club prizes including half off the club 4-H program fees for the 2014-2015 year, club t-shirts, and a club pizza party.
