The library will be at the Farmers’ Market. Stop by the Van Buer Plaza and see what’s going on at the library while shopping for locally-grown produce.

WOW Kick-off and Bible Study

WOW/Women of the Word in Waterman kicks off its 18th year with an interdenominational Bible study. The guest speaker will be Naomi Koesler, native born in Sri Lanka where she and her family faced persecution for their faith in Jesus Christ. She will share her personal testimonies of God’s answers to prayer.

The Sycamore Farmer’s Market, presented by Heartland Bank and Trust Company promotes local, sustainable farmers, producers, artisans and chefs by connecting them to the public through educational programming and special events.

Bookworms

Bookworms, the library’s preschool story time, resumes on Wednesdays in September. Events are geared for 3- to 5-year-olds. Reading, playing, snacks and crafts are planned. September’s theme is the work of Eric Carle, an American designer, illustrator of more than 70 books, and writer of children’s books. He is most famous for “The Very Hungry Caterpillar.”
