Bring on the Nationals or the Dodgers.

For a second straight year, the Chicago Cubs will be playing in the National League Championship Series after an historic comeback inning against the Giants to capture the National League Division Series.

The Cubs, down 5-2 in the top of the ninth inning, scored four runs to go ahead 6-5.

Then Aroldis Chapman, who blew a save opportunity the night before, came in for the save and was dominate, striking out the side and giving the Cubs the win,

The Cubs won the series 4-1 and will now wait to see who they will play in the NLCS.  The Dodgers and Nationals are tied 2-2 in the other divisional series.

Tuesday night’s win was historic as the 1986 Mets are the only other team to come back from three-run deficit in the ninth inning of a clinching game to win.

The Mets did it in Game 6 of the NLDS.

After being shut down for eight innings by Giants starter Matt Moore but once Kris Bryant singled to start off the ninth inning, Giants manager Bruce Bochy went to the bullpen. Anthony Rizzo then walked and the rally was on.

The Cubs hit a procession of Giants relievers to take the lead and never looked back.

Now, the Cubs look to redeem their quick exit from the NLCS last year against the Mets.

Chicago will host game one of the NLCS Saturday night at Wrigley Field with Jon Lester expected to start game one.
