Holiday Cookie Bake

Customers can purchase a variety of homemade cookies, candies, fudge, breads and snack mixes. Items will cost $8 a pound or will be individually priced. Hot cider and coffee will be sold. All proceeds will go to support Voluntary Action Center/Meals on Wheels, which provides hot nutritional meals to the elderly, disabled and homebound.

“It’s a Wonderful Life”

Released in 1946, this classic film stars James Stewart as George Bailey, a man who has given up his dreams in order to help others, and whose imminent suicide on Christmas Eve brings about the intervention of his guardian angel, Clarence Odbody (Henry Travers). Clarence shows George all the lives he has touched, and how different life in his hometown would be had he never been born.

With virtual reality dressing rooms, shoppers will soon be able to try on outfits without having to get undressed. Samantha Gibson, a Northern Illinois University marketing instructor with 20 years of experience in the retail profession, will speak about the rapid changes in the retail world.
