Jump on board the Explore Elmhurst trolley to visit all three Elmhurst museums — Elmhurst History Museum, Elmhurst Art Museum and Lizzadro Museum of Lapidary Art — for free admission, family friendly activities, exhibit tours, refreshments and more on the 22nd annual Museum Day from 1-5 p.m. May 20.

Bensenville Spring Carnival

$30 daily pass, $60 mega pass for unlimited rides for four days

The Spring Carnival will feature carnival rides, entertainment, food vendors, beverage tent, live music, games and more. Mega passes can be purchased at a number of locations including the Bensenville Park District office, 1000 W. Wood St.; Public Library, 200 S. Church Road; and Village Hall, 12 S. Center St. Individual tickets or daily ride passes can be purchased at the carnival.

Taste of Glen Ellyn

The Taste of Glen Ellyn features live entertainment, great food and beverages, carnival rides, a craft festival and business expo. The Taste also will have a village fair and the Y Run 5K, Super Kid 1K and Fun Run. A carnival will be held in the Glenwood/Crescent parking lot.

Vintage Rides Car Show
6-9 p.m.
Hale Street between Liberty and Willow, in downtown Wheaton
Free

Classic cars, motorcycles and trucks of every make, model and year will be on display in a new location. The show will be held south of the train tracks to Hale Street between Liberty and Willow. A DJ will play music during the show. The show is a short walk from the Metra station and accessible by train.

Architectural Walking Tour
10 a.m.
DuPage County Historical Museum, 102 E. Wesley St., Wheaton
$6 adults, $4 children

Celebrate Preservation Month with a tour of downtown Wheaton. The tour covers 1.5 miles including Memorial Park, Adam’s Park, City Hall, Front Street and Trinity Episcopal Church. Children’s tour includes a scavenger hunt. For more information, call 630-510-4941.

First Backyard Brew Fest

The first Backyard Brew Fest is a celebration of the community and the craft beer being produced in the Western Suburbs. Alter will be joined by other neighboring suburban breweries to showcase a growing beer scene that dwells in the shadow of Chicago. The event will highlight a local not-for-profit organization, Little Friends, Inc. Bites and Sites Food Tour

5th Avenue Station, Naperville

This guided, narrated downtown Naperville tour visits six food tasting locations in the historic downtown and train station area. All food tastings, enough for lunch, are included in the ticket price. Beside the food tastings, tour guides will dish up a side order of fun facts about the rich history of Naperville. The History Museum is at 120 E. Park Ave.; the Art Museum is at 150 S. Cottage Hill Ave.; and the Lizzadro is at 220 S. Cottage Hill Ave.
