The reigning Mid-American Conference champion NIU Huskies got a sneak peak at Soldier Field in Chicago last week as head coach Dave Doeren hosted a Chicago media day.

Northern Illinois opens the 2012 season on Sept. 1 at the lakefront arena against Big Ten rival Iowa. It will be the third time NIU has played at the home of the NFL’s Chicago Bears.
