Geneva French Market, brings farm fresh produce, fresh flowers, baked goods, jewelry, handbags and more to downtown every Sunday from mid-April to mid-November. The market is held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the parking lot of the Metra Train Station at Fourth and South streets.
JULY 18
River Rhapsody Concert Series, Batavia Riverwalk, 100 Island Ave , Batavia, 7 p.m. Since 1999 the Pirates Over 40 have been entertaining audiences all over the Midwest with fun and energetic renditions of tropical favorites, including Jimmy Buffett, mixed with an eclectic mix of oldies and classic rock. JULY 18-22
Kane County Fair, Randall Road, St. Charles. Wednesday, July 18 admission is free and just $5 on Thursday. Seniors over age 62 and military with identification are free on Thursday until 5 p.m. Entry is $10 for adults and $5 for children ages 5-12 on under days. Season tickets are $20. Midway Hours of Operation run from 3-11 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday, noon to midnight on Friday and Saturday and noon-10 p.m. on Sunday. Exhibit halls close two hour earlier than Midway. Musical acts are scheduled nightly. A Monster Truck Show is set for Thursday (admission $10), Professional Champions Bull Riders and Barrel Racing on Friday and Saturday (admission $14 adults, $7 children) and Demolition Derbies at 2 and 6 p.m. Sunday (admission $10).
JULY 20-22
USA Ultimate Frisbee Championship, Stuart Sports Complex, Griffin Dr. and U.S. Route 30, Montgomery. Ultimate is the national governing body for the sport and a member of the US Olympic Committee and they are working with the Aurora Area Convention and Visitors Bureau, the Aurora Area Sports Alliance, Ultimate Chicago and the Fox Valley Park District to bring the event here from Denver for the first time since 2012. Run Forrest Run – Party by the Pond Concert, 5-8 p.m., Chicago Premium Outlets, 1650 Premium Outlets Blvd., Aurora. A night of live music, food, family activities featuring Run Forrest Run, the ultimate 90’s cover band performing favorite pop, punk and upbeat hits from the decade. Information: 630-585-2200.

Cocktails In the Park, Appleton Park, Riverwalk behind City Hall, 100 N. Island Ave., Batavia, 7-10 p.m. An event dedicated to showcasing Batavia restaurants and a unique opportunity to discover downtown Batavia, all while raising funds for Batavia MainStreet’s revitalization efforts. Super SciTech Saturday: The Flying Fox Foundation, SciTech Hands-On Museum, 18 W. Benton St., Aurora. Learn about the importance of bats in the ecosystem. Aurora Puerto Rican Heritage Parade 2018, Downtown Aurora 11:30 a.m. This 46th annual parade celebrates the rich Puerto Rican cultural heritage.
RiverPark Concert Series, 151 N. River Lane, Geneva. A variety of musical performances are held during this free event on Sunday evenings in July at 6 p.m. at the RiverPark Amphitheater.
