Sixteen-year-old Faith Kies, of Woodstock was killed in Phoenix, Ariz. Jan. 16.

A missing Woodstock teenager was found dead as part of what police are calling a murder-suicide in Arizona.

Faith Kies ,16, a sophomore at Woodstock North High School, was found wounded Jan. 16 inside the Phoenix home of her  boyfriend’s parents.

The boyfriend, Alexander O’Neill, 24, was found dead from what police are saying is a self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to reports.

Kies was taken to a Phoenix hospital where she died on Jan. 16, according to reports.

The girl was reported missing last week when her parents discovered their daughter was not in her room on the morning of Thursday, Jan. 14. She had left a note telling them she left and instructed them to not try to find her and that she was safe, according to reports.

Kies parents are reportedly saying the girl was not taken by force and the family had known O’Neill for two years. Her parents are reported to have said they believed the boyfriend would not have caused harm to their daughter.

The McHenry County Sheriff’s Office apparently alerted the Phoenix police on Friday, Jan.15 that the young couple were headed to O’Neill’s parents’ home,

Phoenix detectives reportedly found O’Neill’s truck outside his parents’ home early Friday evening. While questioning his parents outside the home, police heard two gunshots from inside and then entered the home.

There they found O’Neill and Kies both shot.

In addition to her parents, Kies is survived by three siblings.
