“Reading is So Delicious!” Cookbooks Now Available at Eureka Public Library

EUREKA – The Eureka Public Library District’s (EPLD) Community cookbook has arrived and is filled with over 500 of the best, tried-and-true recipes from cooks in and around the Eureka Public Library.

Copies of the cookbook are available for only $15 at the Library, and at the Woodford County Historical Society. The cookbooks will also be available at Reagan Fest on August 24th and 25th at the Welcome Center and in the Merchant Tent.
Recipes cover every category, highlighting many favorite desserts, main dishes, drinks and appetizers and the recipes include those provided by very young library users all the way to recipes coming from patrons who have been visiting EPLD for well over 50 years. EPLD was also honored to include Father Dominic’s recipes for Minestrone and Italian Onion Herb Bread, which he sent to the library following a request from one of the EPLD staff in June.
The cookbook is professionally designed and was finished as a 3 ring bound copy, allowing purchasers to add personal recipes as well. EPLD Friends of the Library is in charge of this fundraising activity and will use the money earned to support the Library. Books can be mailed for an additional fee to cover postage costs. For more information, or to request copies of the cookbook, please call the Library at 467-2922.
