Stamp Happy Sewers Gather at Sewing Guild Meeting

EUREKA — Using “rubber” stamps on paper has been a rage for several years, and avid sewers have utilized the craft to make unique designs on fabric. At the September 20th meeting of the Woodford County Sewing Guild there will be ample opportunities to try out different stamping techniques, including using common kitchen objects as the stamps. Attendees are invited to bring their own stamps, projects and stamping experiences to share with the rest of us.

The meeting is free and open to the public. It will be held at 7:00 PM in the Auditorium of the Farm Bureau Building, 117 W. Center Street, Eureka. The parking lot is off of Callender Street.
The Woodford County Sewing Guild is a Neighborhood Group of the Peoria Chapter of the American Sewing Guild. It is open to everyone who likes to work with needles, hooks, thread or yarn. Each meeting is filled with good conversation, tips and techniques, and much laughter. Held on the third Thursday of the month, all meetings are free and open to the public. The October 18th meeting will feature a demonstration of making a small purse that magically snaps open and closed.
