Village of Algonquin ends current electrical aggregation program

The village announced that its current electrical aggregation program with NIGEAC expires in July. The village determined it could not obtain rates that would be guaranteed lower than the ComEd rate. Residents will automatically be moved back to ComEd at their meter read date in July, which will be reflected on ComEd bills received in August. The village will monitor the market, and may re-establish the electrical aggregation program if rates turn more favorable in the future.
