Family, Consumer and Science Classes Offered by Extension

Serve It Safely Program, Eureka, January 10 – 9:30 a.m.

Any time your group sells food, certain procedures need to be followed to ensure that the food is wholesome, safe, and at low risk for causing food-borne illness. The cost is $10 for the first person from each organization and $5 per each additional person.

Easy Care Outdoor Plants, February 13 – 1 p.m.

Easy Care Outdoor Plants will be presented by Horticulture Educator, Kelly Allsup. Kelly will cover a Top Ten easy care plant list for sun/shade requirements, flowering, and foliage. Come join us! Avoiding the Cost of Meat with More Meatless Meals. January 28 – 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Registered Dietitian, Jenna Smith, will give you ideas and motivation to try more meatless entrees. Information, recipes, and a food demonstration with tastings will be provided.This program will be held at Eureka Public Library, 202 S. Main St., Eureka. Cost is $3.00 per person. 4-H New Member Orientation, February 12 – 6:30 p.m.

Parents and new members will discuss what to expect during the 4-H year. First year 4-H members will learn the 4-H pledge, how to give a demonstration, see examples of first year projects and much more! This will be held at the Farm Bureau Auditorium, 117 W.
