The 37th Annual St. Patrick’s Day celebration will be held in the SideBar and heated tent of Fitzgerald’s, 6615 W. Roosevelt Road, Berwyn, at 2 p.m. March 17.

March 15

Career Fair

Gurrie Middle School, 1001 S. Spring Ave., La Grange
Free

District 105 in La Grange will hold a career fair for all fifth through eighth grade students and their parents. Parents and students will visit more than 40 community members that represent a variety of careers, in a “trade show” format. Students can learn about various job and career options and the coursework and interests needed to pursue those careers. Students from all school districts are welcome.

Red: Jeanette Andrews, Sensory illusions

Shattering the mold of a traditional illusory performance, Jeanette Andrews leads this intimate evening of close-up magic where audience members will be guided through a series of interactive illusions inspired by the history and architecture of Pleasant Home. Performance material is suitable for ages 12 and up. Evanston Dance Ensemble: “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”

St. Ferdinand parish hosts its annual Fish Fry every Friday during Lent, through March 23. Complete fried and baked fish dinners are available as well as soup, pizza and nachos. Noggeler Guuggenmusig Luzern

Enjoy Hofbruahaus’ seasonal and regular brews to the tune of the Noggelers. Hofbruahaus Chicago welcomes the Noggeler Guuggenmusig Luzern, a 55-piece Swiss band adorned in elaborate costumes with decorated masks. The band will celebrate the coming of spring with an evening of lively music as they delight audiences with a tribute to the Swiss Carnival.

37th Annual St. Patrick’s Day celebration will be held in the club, SideBar and heated tent. This is a day for the whole family, and all ages are invited. The Dooley Brothers, The Mayer School Stepdancers with Paul and Mary McHugh, Fitz & the Celts, Cannonball and the Shannon Rovers will perform. Traditional St. Patrick’s Day fare and Guinness, Harp and other favorite beers will be served. 

March 18

Irish Parade

Enjoy this family-friendly event along Oak Park Avenue in Downtown Tinley. Come out and see floats, community groups, local schools and businesses. Enjoy delicious Irish fare and fun at Downtown Tinley Park restaurants.

The Boogers
4 p.m.
Wonder Works, 6445 W. North Ave., Oak Park
$8 for members, $11 for non-members

The full band will perform, including Crusty, Greenie and Sticky on drums. The Boogers will play original and classic children’s music in their now famous rock ’n’ roll style. Concert tickets give private access to Wonder Works between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m.
