With more than 5,000 attendees and 200 local and leading exhibitors, the IDEAg Northern Illinois Farm Show is a venue for producers in northern Illinois, southern Wisconsin and eastern Iowa to meet with agribusinesses under one roof. The show will feature a multitude of informative and educational programs developed by the University of Illinois Extension Services.

Civil Air Patrol

The local group meets on Friday. Founded on Dec. 1, 1941, as a way to protect the nation’s shorelines from invading German U-boats, the Civil Air Patrol has evolved into a premier public service organization that still carries out emergency service missions when needed — in the air and on the ground. Artists at the Museum

On the second Saturday of each month, artists can take advantage of the museum’s diverse collection. After a few hours of creating, those interested can gather to discuss and critique each other’s work. This is an informal group that is all about having fun. No registration is required. All skill levels and ages are welcome. Chairs are limited, and artists are encouraged to bring their own chair or stool. Questions? Faranda’s 2018 Wedding Expo

The Best Picture Film Series

The Egyptian Theatre is holding its 2018 Best Picture Film Series through March 6, featuring Oscar Best Picture winning films from each decade. The next film in the series is “Casablanca” from 1942.
