Police say missing 11-year-old found safe

An 11-year-old Aurora youth last seen on Thursday afternoon and reported missing early Friday morning has been found safe.

Aurora Police issued a brief update at 10:30 a.m. Friday reporting that Heritier Rukumbuzi had been found.

Heritier was reported missing by his family at approximately 3:15 a.m. on Friday. They last saw him around 5 p.m. Thursday when he left his home in the 400 block of Plum St., to go play soccer.

Heritier is 5’9″, 155 lbs, with short, curly black hair and brown eyes. He speaks with a strong African accent and was last seen wearing a red zip-up hooded sweat shirt, black gloves, black athletic pants with a white stripe up the sides and red Puma brand shoes.
