Man killed in shooting at gas station in Elmwood Park

The West Suburban Major Crimes Task Force is investigating a shooting Saturday in Elmwood Park in which a 43-year-old man was killed.

According to police, two men got into an argument shortly before 5 p.m. at the BP gas station on the northeast corner of 75th and Grand avenues in Elmwood Park. The two men then began shooting at each other leaving the 43-year-old man critically wounded. The other shooter escaped.

The victim died on the way to the hospital. According to police, a total of 14 rounds were fired.

Police say that security cameras clearly show the alleged shooter. No arrests have been made.
