Dan Rutherford to Speak at Woodford County Lincoln-Reagan Dinner

Illinois State Treasurer Dan Rutherford, one of four candidates for the governor’s chair, is the key-note speaker for the 2014 Woodford County Republican Dinner scheduled for Friday, February 21 at the Metamora Fields Country Club.

The Dinner will start off with “Speed Candidating” during cocktail hour from 5:30-7PM. Many Republican primary candidates will be available to chat during the speed rounds of table visits. 

Some of the expected attending candidates are, from the Sheriff race: Matt Smith, Craig Baner, and Terry Glaub. The four in the Governor’s race are State Treasurer Dan Rutherford, Bruce Rauner, Senator Bill Brady, and Senator Kirk Dillard. 

The candidate for the U.S. Senate is Doug Truax. State Representative David Leach and Josh Harms are unopposed and will be available for informational questions. Many elected Republican officials will be attending. 

Dinner tickets are $50 a plate. Much of the profit from the dinner and silent auction is used to fund the Woodford County Heritage Scholarships, county political signs for national candidates, education events   and support for the Woodford County Central Committee.
