Learn How to Make a Tote from Fiberglass Screening

EUREKA –  Susie Lindsey from Washington will demonstrate the making of a tote bag using fiberglass screening at the Woodford County Sewing Guild meeting which will be held at 7:00 PM, February 20 at the Community Room of Maple Lawn in Eureka. The meeting is free and open to the public. For directions to the Community Room call Karen at 360-6772.

Always on the lookout for new things to make, sewers have learned that fiberglass screening is not only useful, but is also a wonderful fabric for sewing. Tote bags made from screening are strong and have a constant air flow, making them perfect for beach bags and to contain tools on a boat. Susie has made several different bags and will offer tips for successful fiberglass screening projects.

The Woodford County Sewing Guild meets monthly to talk about sewing, their recent projects, and to share successes and failures. Anyone who likes to sew is welcome.

The March meeting will offer a free make-it-and-take-it Easter craft.
