Schock to Speak at Lincoln – Reagan Dinner February 8

METAMORA – Congressman Aaron Schock will be the speaker at the Woodford County Republican Lincoln-Reagan Dinner at Metamora Fields, 801 Progress St., on Friday, February 8. The dinner tickets are $45 each with a table of eight at $360. All the elected Senators, Representatives and elected officials that speak for this area will be on hand to talk to constituents. Senator Darin LaHood will introduce Schock.

The Woodford County Republicans will be awarding the 2nd annual Heritage Scholarship at the diner. This year’s topic is “The Affordable Health Care Act, How will it Impact You”. Senator Jason Barickman has agreed to be one of the Scholarship judges. All high school seniors from Woodford County high schools are eligible to apply; one finalist from each county high school will be chosen. Interested students should see their school guidance counselor or contact the Regional Superintendent’s office for an application. The finalist will have the opportunity to dine with the elected officials as a mentoring opportunity. 

The evening will start at 5:30-6:30 p.m., with cocktails, a silent auction, and a meet and greet opportunity before the 7:00 p.m. dinner in the upper ballroom.
