Shade Gardening

EUREKA – Do you have a shade garden and think you can’t have a diversity of plants? At 6:30 PM on Tuesday, February 25 at the Eureka Public Library, 202 S. Main, University of Illinois Horticulture Educator Kelly Allsup would like to help dispel this myth by joining with the Woodford County Master Gardeners to explore a plethora of shade-loving perennials, annuals, and woody shrubs that will grow in your landscape. You’ll explore adding more textures and colors while moving beyond the typical impatiens, begonias, and hostas.  Allsup will also give care information for some of the most interesting shade bloomers covered in the program. The class is free, but registration is required.  Please call the library at 309-467-2922 to register by February 22.
