Maple Fest at Red Oak Nature Center, Rt. 25 (1 mile north of Rt. 56), North Aurora, 9 a.m.-1 p.m., free.  Tap the sweet taste of spring at the annual Red Oak Maple Fest! Naturalists from Red Oak will lead visitors to various stations in the woods to view demonstrations of how maple sap is harvested and turned into delicious maple syrup. Each group will tap a maple tree, then witness the process of how sap is boiled and converted into syrup. Group taste-tests will follow. Information: (630) 897-1808.

Egg Hunt on Stolp Island, Downtown Aurora, 21 S. Stolp Ave., Aurora, IL 60506, Aurora, 1-3 p.m.All ages welcome to search for eggs and participate in a number of free activities including a traditional egg hunt on Stolp Island as well as prizes for golden eggs found near Aurora’s downtown museums.
