Primary battles shaping up across the state

And they’re off!

The campaigns for the next election are officially on as candidates for state and congressional seats have field their petitions to be on the primary ballot.

Republican and Democrat voters will have plenty of decisions to make when they head into the voting booths for the March primary.

Barring candidates being knocked off the ballot due to petition violations, contested primaries will be held for the following races:

State House
