  1. August 13: Larry Lemon, 33, was arrested at the intersection of Little Rock Road and Griswold Springs, Plano, and charged with leaving the scene of a property damage accident, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and disobeying a traffic control device.
  2. August 14: Michael Walls, 45, was arrested on the 100 block of Harbor Drive, Oswego, and charged with assault and resisting a peace officer. Wells was transported to Kendall County Jail.
  3. August 14: Elyse Hillsman, 26, was arrested at the intersection of Longbeach Road and Winrock Road, Montgomery, and charged with driving on a suspended driver’s license.
  4. August 14: A theft occurred in the zero-100 block of Bereman Road, Montgomery, in which rims and tires to the victims car were removed. Police are currently investigating the incident.
  5. August 15: Harrasment occurred in the zero-100 block of Woodland Lane, Plano. Police are currently investigating the incident.
  6. August 15: Curtis Holliday Jr, 41 was arrested at 12281 E Mitchell Drive, Plano, and charged with domestic battery. Holliday was transported to Kendall County jail.
  7. August 15: Jarell Shanks, 24, was arrested at the intersection of Plainfield Road and Ridge Road, Plainfield, and charged with driving on a suspended driver’s license, improper display of registration and expired registration.
  8. August 15: Stephanie Ramos, 25, was arrested at the intersection of Fernwood Road and Roulock Road, Montgomery, and charged with driving on a suspended driver’s license.
  9. August 15: A residential burglary occurred in the zero-30 block of Seneca Drive, Montgomery, in which an unknown individual forced entry into the home. Police are currently investigating the incident.
  10. August 16: Seth Orczykowski, 24, was arrested at the intersection of Route 34 and Eldamain Road, Plano, on an in-state warrant regarding a prior harassment charge. Orczykowski was transported to Kendall County Jail.
  11. August 16: A theft occurred in the 100 block of Light Road, Oswego, in which clothing was taken from a dryer. Police are currently investigating the incident.
  12. August 16: Derek Devivo, 24, was arrested at 1699 Route 25, Oswego, and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol causing an accident. Devivo was transported to Kendall County Jail after being released from the hospital.
  13. August 17: Tajvon Jackson, 20, was arrested at the intersection of Route 30 and Route 31, Oswego, and charged with driving on a suspended driver’s license and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.
  14. August 18: Phillip Menefee, 53, was arrested at 235 Fernwood Road, Montgomery, and charged with domestic battery. Menefee was transported to Kendall County Jail.
  15. August 18: Criminal damage to property occurred in the 2000 block of Route 34, Oswego, in which damage was done to a parked vehicle. Police are currently investigating the incident.

 

Kendall County Sheriff’s Office is seeking information on theft of fence posts

The Kendall County Sheriff’s Office is seeking information regarding the theft of several 7 -foot green fence posts. The fence posts are used to keep vehicles from driving off of the roadway. The posts were taken from the corner of Fox River Drive and Fox Road. The thefts were reported to have occurred between 4:15 p.m. on Aug. 10 and 7:30 a.m. on Aug. 11. This is an ongoing issue and several posts were taken at unknown dates and times from the area of the Fox Road curve. The Kendall County Sheriff’s Office report number is 2015-2486.

Anyone with information on this or other crimes is urged to call Kendall County Crime Stoppers at (630) 553-5999. Callers remain anonymous and are eligible for a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest of the offenders.

 

Aurora man arrested after stealing excavator in Oswego

On Aug. 21, Oswego Police were dispatched just past midnight for a call of a backhoe traveling on Treasure Drive damaging power lines. Responding officers stopped David Salinas, 31, at 500 Treasure allegedly driving an excavator. Salinas allegedly took the excavator from a parking lot off Treasure and drove westbound, damaging phone and cable lines as well as easement areas.

Salinas was arrested for leaving the scene of an accident and driving under the influence (blood alcohol content of .24) and brought to the police department. The Kendall County State’s Attorney’s Office approved further charges of class-1 felony and class-2 felony theft of a motor vehicle. Salinas was taken to Kendall County Jail and is awaiting bond hearing.

Residents and businesses in the area lost phone and cable service. AT&T and Comcast have been on the scene to repair the damaged lies.
