How to Crochet by Graph Explained at Sewing Guild Meeting February 17

EUREKA – The Woodford County Sewing Guild will hold a session on ‘Crocheting by Graph’ at their meeting on Thursday, February 17, at 10:00 AM at the Farm Bureau Building Auditorium, 117 W. Center St., Eureka. Please note that the new meeting time.
Most women know how to crochet, but doing it by following a graph is something else again. We invite novices as well as skilled needlewomen to come to share in the fun of deciphering and following the graphs. Graphing began in Japan and enables us to use foreign designs without having to read the language of their country of origin. Robin Robinson will lead the demonstration. Participants are encouraged to bring some thread and hooks. There will be some spare supplies on hand for those who don’t bring any with them.
The Woodford County Sewing Guild’s goal is to promote interest in needlework of all kinds and to assist beginners in the many aspects of the needle arts. Meeting on the third Thursday, September through May, the WCSG offers demonstration programs, show-and-tell among the participants, and often a free fabric exchange. Along with the formal meeting, there is conversation and much laughter. Everyone who uses thread (or yarn) and a needle (or hook) is welcome regardless of age.
