The first of two NCAA championship finals — hosted by Northern Illinois University — got under way last week at Rich Harvest Farms in Sugar Grove as the nation’s top women’s golfers arrived for competition. Rainfall washed out one round and conditions on Sunday were cool but very windy, wreaking havoc on some holes for some golfers.

“They are obviously tough conditions and it’s been the hardest rounds of golf I think any of us have played,” said Stanford’s Andrea Lee after completing a Sunday morning round. The NCAA Men’s competition opens later this week.    — NCAA’s top golfers compete at Sugar Grove’s Rich  — Harvest Farms
