Doors open on Elgin buildings as city celebrates its architecture

The April 27 annual Open Elgin event offered a peek at the inside of churches, business buildings, schools and government offices, sites not readily available for public view

This 1892 building once housed a law office and retains its period look and decor. It’s now home of Al’s Cafe.
