Ribfest officials have announced their annual event will be staged from Sept. 15-17 at the DuPage Event Center and Fairgrounds in Wheaton.

Details about participating bands and food will be announced at a later date. Last year’s event featured seven ribs specialists from around the country and 12 other vendors serving other food and drink.

A carnival and other entertainment activities are also expected.

After a long run near downtown Naperville, this will be the second straight year in Wheaton and three months later than in 2022. Sponsored by the Exchange Club of Naperville, Ribfest proceeds help fight child abuse and domestic violence, while strengthening families in local communities.

Over the past 30-plus years, over $18 million has been contributed back to local communities in support of these causes.

The Exchange Club of Naperville was chartered in 1987 and is dedicated to the elimination of child abuse and domestic violence. Through financial contributions to more than 50 local charities, the Exchange Club has raised more than $18 million from its service activities at Ribfest.

The Exchange Club of Naperville has established Project HELP as a Center for the Prevention of Child Abuse in 1992. Focused on stopping child abuse before it happens, Project HELP supports parent education through the Parent Mentor Program.

The agencies funded span DuPage, Will, Kane and Cook Counties.
